Who can audition: All Elkins High School students are welcome to audition. No experience required.
General Audition Process (Musical,Holiday Show,SOAPS):
Sign in at the door
Warm-up/stretch
Read sides or perform prepared monologues
Learn short choreography (for musicals)
Sing 16–32 bars of a song (for musicals)
Callback process (if applicable)
How to Prepare:
Read the audition notice and character descriptions
Practice with a friend or in front of a mirror
Dress comfortably to move
Be expressive and make bold choices
Audition Tips:
Be on time
Be respectful and supportive of others
Take direction well
Don’t apologize—just perform

Important Reminder
Rehearsals are mostly after school unless otherwise stated
Tech crew must attend tech week and show nights
Parent/guardian permission may be required for participation
